Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. And now he’s a member in good standing of the Obama administration, one of “czars” appointed by Obama who reports only to Obama and who, therefore, never had to withstand the rigors of a senate confirmation process.

He was once a communist, now he is more of a green who would like the world to forget about race and live in harmony with one another. Glenn Beck has been going batsh*t crazy (well he already is) about this guy because Van Jones is a co-founder of Color of Change (which I am a member of) that resulted in Beck losing all that advertising money. How many is it now? I heard he lost 11 more yesterday. It has to be around 45 or so. I watched this guy speak the other night and I loved him. He speaks from the heart and doesn't hold back. He is passionate about his beliefs and is a powerful, intelligent black man. I loved his speech about the United States and it's need to rule the entire world. Very interesting. Of course, he's not some peoples cup of tea because he scares some people, especially white guys. He was picked because of his passion for our planet and trying to save it and would like to start a very cool mass transit system for the US that would cut down pollution greatly.
As far as Czars go... Bush started that trend. Do you know how many he had and who they were? Some of them...

When Mark Lloyd was appointed July 29 as the chief diversity officer at the Federal Communications Commission, a nation focused on ObamaCare and a deteriorating economy took little notice. But as angry constituents flood town hall meetings and call in to talk radio, a man dedicated to silencing them sits at the right hand of the president.

They share a common hero — Saul Alinsky — who wrote the community organizer’s bible, “Rules for Radicals.” It speaks of confrontation or, as candidate Obama put it, of “getting in their faces” as a way to obtain power, not from the people or for the people, but over the people.

Lloyd has written that we make too much of the constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of speech and the press — for “the purpose of free speech is warped to protect global corporations and block rules that would promote democratic governance.”

We thought we were democratically governed. We thought we could vote as we choose after a vigorous and open debate. Once the major networks served as information gatekeepers controlling what we saw and heard. Now talk radio, the Internet and cable news have enhanced democracy by promoting the free flow of information and discourse. Lloyd wants to stop all that.

Yes, they'll just replace him with somebody else that the right will bitch and complain about for months because it really doesn't matter who he puts in there, they aren't going to like him. It's time for Obama to take off the gloves and quit being Mr. Nice guy. Quit catering to the whiny cry babies that are now the right wing and just start getting things done. The reality of Beck's attacks on Van

After we launched this campaign, some bloggers and reporters tried to discredit the effort by claiming that the White House or Van was somehow involved, or that we launched the campaign to protect Van. It's an absurd accusation. Van hasn't worked with ColorOfChange in years, and when we decided to launch the campaign we didn't even know that Beck had attacked him. The reality is that we began our campaign for the same reason 175,000 of you have now joined it: Glenn Beck called the president of the United States a "racist" who "has a deep seated hatred for White people," which is part of a pattern of Beck using lies and distortions to race-bait and fear-monger.2

As Beck started losing advertisers in response to our campaign, he went into full-scale attack mode on Van--exaggerating or distorting his record on 23 shows and devoting an entire segment to discrediting him. Beck presented his attacks on Van as honest journalistic inquiry, while dishonestly failing to mention that Van co-founded the group leading a successful advertiser boycott against him.

But Beck's real goals were clear: Take down Van. Undermine the White House. Set the stage for his followers to say our campaign was about protecting Van. And of course, create a distraction from our campaign and the real reasons major companies are ditching Beck's show.

The problem with Beck

Glenn Beck's show is described as news analysis and commentary, and he claims to be bringing his viewers "the facts"; but his attacks on the President's character, agenda and advisers are anything but news. They are political character assassination of the worst form, relying on dishonesty, distortion, exaggeration, and fear. And Beck has promised to launch more attacks on new targets.3 Our country is facing numerous challenges, including a struggling economy, a climate and energy crisis, and a broken health care system. The media should be promoting thoughtful, rational dialogue about how to solve these problems, not launching dishonest political attacks to distract and divide us.

Van Jones resigned because he was smeared with his OWN words... His hate speeches and his close association with known criminals.was his down fall... If the drive-by media would do there job he would never been appointed... Obama keeps surrounding himself with these shady characters and he thinks no one is going to call his hand?? Wrong.. And speaking of a-holes. What about some of the republicans last night? If they are trying to win support, they sure are going about it the wrong way. They honestly looked like a bunch of rich, snotty, hateful buttholes. The only time they grumbled is when the president threatened their own wallets. They looked like a bunch of bad actors being paid off by corporate America. That isn't going to touch the hearts of real Americans. President Obama was talking about a very sensitive subject that is touching almost every American. People are dying waiting for insurance and all those jerks could sit there and smirk and play with their blackberries. Way to connect with the American people guys! They are destroying themselves. The right continues to become a more exclusive club every single day. Pretty soon the only people who will be able to connect with these people are going to be wealthy, crazy and/or die-hards who will follow the republicans through the gates of hell if asked to. Alienating people isn't helping your party guys but I'm sure the republican party will eventually rise again. Hopefully a little smarter and maybe an ounce of compassion.

What about Rangel standing there grinning from ear to ear... You and me both would be in jail if we did what he did.. Obama has to get these crooks out of his administration before any one can believe in him.....

What about the corruption in the Bush white house? It was so corrupt that the American people gave the white house to the democrats and the majority to the house and senate.
