Texting in Church

So, I'm sitting in church today listening to the the priest give his lecture and I see the woman in front of me texting. She looked to be in her early thirties, old enough to know better in my opinion.
This isn't the first time I've seen this sort of thing. Have people gotten so hung up on being in constant contact with everyone that they can't have the decency to turn their phones off in church? Maybe it's my age, but this is beyond rude to me. Opinions?

A homosexual-rights activist whom President Obama appointed last month to a White House advisory council had--just three weeks before his appointment--posted a statement on the Web site of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s most prominent homosexual-rights organization, accusing Pope Benedict XVI, leader of the Roman Catholic Church, of “hurting people in the name of Jesus.”

The activist had previously posted statements on the HRC Web site accusing the Catholic Church of “insulting” ...

I have just recently become an Eucharist Minister and I am quite humbled to do this. Since becoming one I have been reading a very good book call, "The Eucharist - 50 Questions From the Pews" by Richard N. Fragomeni, PhD. This is a very interesting book and has answered so many questions (well 50 questions actually - just joking ) that I have.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has questions pertaining to the Eucharist.

Oh before I forget. I was given a wonderful ...

Social networks such as Twitter may blunt people's sense of morality, claim brain scientists.

A study suggests rapid-fire news updates and instant social interaction are too fast for the 'moral compass' of the brain to process.

The danger is that heavy Twitters and Facebook users could become 'indifferent to human ...

Do those that oppose alcohol consumption because of Religion...?

Do those that oppose alcohol consumption because of Religion also oppose overeating?

I Personally see on Sudays people eating out after Church...Some that happen to be ministers...Some of those cats can put away some food especially when it's off of the Buffet...

If one night I drink more beers than I should...

Isn't it just as bad for a person to overeat?

I know the Key is Moderation...

But I keep coming up with Hypocrisy...

Thoughts?
